We do not offer dermal filler treatments. Although we are trained in dermal filler injections, we have questioned the long-term ethics and safety of these treatments from the very beginning. While the likelihood of complications is relatively low, the potential severity of adverse outcomes has never sat well with us. For this reason, we have chosen not to offer dermal fillers at Holme Valley Skin Clinic. A tragic example of the potential risks is the recent death of Alice Webb following a filler-based Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). While this is an extreme case, it highlights how serious complications can be. At Holme Valley Skin Clinic, we are committed to offering safer, more natural, and regenerative approaches to managing the signs of ageing—treatments that would traditionally be addressed with fillers. That’s why we offer options such as polynucleotide injections, microneedling, lip flips, and our newest under-skin hydrating treatment- Profhilo. These treatments are designed to enhance your skin’s own regenerative processes, helping to maintain natural facial proportions without unnecessary risk. We’re also excited to be training in the latest regenerative techniques aimed at restoring volume in the cheeks—providing a safer alternative to filler. We’ll share more information as soon as this treatment becomes available.

Yes, we always begin with a consultation to understand your skin concerns, assess your suitability for treatment, and create a personalised plan together. This ensures you get safe, effective results tailored to your goals. Some treatments can be carried out on the same day as your consultation, depending on availability, if you have previously had that kind of treatment before and if the treatment involves the use of prescription medication.
